Web Accessibility Help

There are helpful tips to adjust your web browser to make your web experience more accessible.

  • Customize Browser Settings

    - Zoom and text size: Adjust the zoom level (Ctrl + “+” or “-”) or increase the default font size in your browser settings.

    - High contrast mode: Enable high contrast or dark mode for better visibility. (In Windows: Settings > Ease of Access > High contrast. In macOS: System Preferences > Accessibility > Display.)

    - Reader mode: Many browsers, like Firefox and Safari, have a “reader view” to simplify web pages.

  • Accessibility shortcuts:

    - Windows: Windows + U opens Accessibility settings.

    - Mac: Option + Command + F5 opens Accessibility shortcuts.

  • Training:

Organizations like Hadley offer free training for using assistive technology.
