At Revolution Mills our Hardwood is designed to enhance and emphasize the natural beauty and durability of each species of wood that we offer. Our wood is either brushed or sanded and then finished with a natural oil that penetrates deep into the wood and hardens. This creates an extremely durable finish that not only strengthens and protects the wood but showcases the natural aesthetics of the wood you choose.

Revolution Mills Hardwood Restorative Qualities

Normal wear patterns, scratches, scuffs can be remedied through the basic cleaning process with our soap. For deep cleaning in commercial applications you simply extract the dirt with our wood cleaner and reapply our hardening oil to your floor. Revolution Mills oil finished wood is engineered using only the safest, natural products available. Our oil finished wood is naturally, VOC (volatile off gassing compound) free. The glue used in the construction of our wood products and all maintenance products for our oil finished products are also VOC-free. Additionally, for every 1000 feet of hardwood sold through Revolution Mills, 10 trees are planted on behalf of our members through the “Plant a Billion Trees” program.

Revolution Mills takes responsible design seriously. The cutting and burning of forests is responsible for 20 percent of carbon dioxide emissions caused by man, according to the U.N.‘s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate change. Negotiators are seeking to make protection of forests part of a new treaty that would replace the Kyoto Protocol- an earlier climate change agreement that will expire in 2012. Revolution Mill’s 3 ply, all-timber construction is made of 75% recycled content. Some of the designs in our Dolce series contain over 90% recycled content. Our products are manufactured to last much longer , can be 100% recycled and have a lifetime structural warranty. These features minimize the carbon footprint and maximize the life cycle of the resources we use.
